<p>During Year 11 you'll have to decide what you want to do at the end of the year and where you want to do it. What are your long term goals and what is the best way of getting there? These are very important decisions so it's a good idea to start planning early on to help reduce pressure later.</p>
<p>Making choices involves making decisions and the decisions you make in year 11 about what you do afterwards are as important as those you made about your options back in year 9. In some ways decision making in year 11 is more difficult as the number of subjects you will be able to study narrows. This means you can't afford to make mistakes about subject choice! But don't worry - there's lots of advice, information and help about.</p>
<h3>Your 16+ options will be:</h3>
<ul class="bull">
<li><strong><em>Continuing on to full-time education either at a school sixth form or college. If you choose this option, you'll have a wide range of courses and qualifications to choose from<br /><br /></em></strong></li>
<li><strong><em>Going on to a work-based learning programme, usually an Apprenticeship. This will give you the chance to learn while you earn<br /><br /></em></strong></li>
<li><strong><em>Joining an e2e programme. It could be an option if you haven't gained many qualifications and are not sure about what you want to do next<br /><br /></em></strong></li>
<li><strong><em>Starting work. If you decide to go straight into work, it's important that you look for a job that includes some sort of training</em></strong></li>

<p>If you don't know what you want to do or have no motivation to do anything speak to your Connexions Personal Adviser or someone else who can provide good advice. They'll be able to talk through your options, maybe make suggestions you've not thought about and help you draw up plans for the future.
