Description
Your learning in this part of the Diploma has four common themes .
CREATIVITY IN CONTEXT.
You will investigate what is meant by an audience.
You will explore different creative & media products and practices to see how they suit the audience.
THINKING & WORKING CREATIVELY.
You will be shown how to come up with ideas in response to a brief.
You will work with others to develop ideas.
You will have the chance to work in different ways.
You will be given lots of chances to work on building up your confidence.
PRINCIPLES, PROCESSES & PRACTICE.
You will learn how to be creative and the steps needed to get there.
You will also learn about the basic materials, technologies and practices that will enable you to begin producing creative work on your own.
CREATIVE BUSINESSES & ENTERPRISE.
You will investigate the creative & media sectors.
You will learn what it is really like to work in the industry
You will find out the importance of developing your skills, qualities and knowledge in order to progress with your career.
The above themes will be covered through a number of projects which will each focus on and relate to different disciplines.

2D and 3D Visual Art, Craft, Dance, Music, Graphic Design, Product Design, Film, Television, Fashion, Audio & Radio, Textiles, Interactive Media, Footwear, Animation, Advertising, Computer Games, Drama, Photo Imaging, Publishing & Printing (from 2009) and Creative Writing.
