Description

The Foundation Level Diploma will give you the chance to learn about the many job opportunities and career routes within the hair and beauty sector. You will have a hands on practical experience in the areas of hair styling, facial beauty and nails. You will investigate the importance of first impressions and looking good, feeling great.

You will be introduced to the hair and beauty sector and investigate the different services and treatments offered. You will learn how important health and safety in the work place is and be taught the meaning of important key words used in hair and beauty.

This Diploma gives you the chance to be part of a team in a work situation. It helps you to improve the way you present yourself to clients and look after them so that they are satisfied with the service you give them.

As well as studying the history of hair and beauty, you will have the chance to practice hairdressing skills, skin care services and nail service skills.

The Diploma will let you develop the personal, learning and thinking skills that are so important at work and for studying. By the end of the Foundation Level Diploma you will be able to make an informed decision about your progression route.
